Cannot update or uninstall Silverlight – missing Silverlight.msi file

Method 1 To Remove Silverlight, follow the steps below: 1.Click onStart, click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, click Uninstall a program.
2.In the list of programs, click any earlier version of Silverlight such as”WPF/E” (codename) Community Technology Previewor Microsoft Silverlight,and then clickUninstall.
3.After the uninstalling process is complete, you can install the latest version of Silverlight.

Method 2

If you are still facing issues with uninstalling Silverlight you may follow the steps below and check if it helps.
1.Click on Start.
2.In the start search box type regedit and press enter.
3.In the registry editor, navigate to the following location (or search for D7314F9862C648A4DB8BE2A5B47BE100):

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT / installer / products / D7314F9862C648A4DB8BE2A5B47BE100

4. Export the registry key.
5. Delete the registry key and try to install or update Silverlight.
