I have seen this message on a couple of occasions, and every time is was the format of the URL of a link inside an email message. The problem in both cases was that the link was missing the “http://” or “https://” part. Once this leading protocol type was added to the URL, the problem…

Close Outlook. Open the Registry Editor and navigate to this location. If the path does not exist, create the appropriate keys. Outlook 2010 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Preferences Outlook 2013 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Preferences Create a new DWORD: MaximumAttachmentSize Enter the size in KB. 0 is unlimited. Close the Registry Editor and launch Outlook. All done!
