How to Change the iDRAC Password in the CLI

If the option to change the password is not available in the GUI of the iDRAC, you can change it from the CLI. SSH in to the iDRAC, and issue the following command.

Be sure to replace “NewPassword” with the actual password that you would like to use.

racadm config -g cfgUserAdmin -o cfgUserAdminPassword -i 2 NewPassword
